ARTISTIC BIOGRAPHY

 

Born in Venice, she accomplished her first cycle of musical studies under the guidance of Eugenio Bagnoli, until the Piano Degree that she took in 1986 with full marks at the Conservatory “B. Marcello” of Venice, before being seventeen. Subsequently she attended the specialization courses of Maria Tipo at Fiesole Music School, K. Bogino, A. Jasinski, P. Masi and M. Mika.

 

In 1984 she debuted as concert pianist at the “Wiener Saal“ of the Mozarteum in Salzburg. She won the “Premio Venezia” (1987), the Prize “A. Speranza” in Taranto (1991), the 2nd Prize of the international Competition “Zecchi” in Rome (and its special Prize of the Press with unanimous vote) and the Competition “Diapason d’Oro“ in Sanremo, where she played for the Italian Television RAI.

 

Finalist in many other national and international competitions (like “Città di Treviso”, “Bellini di Caltanissetta”, “A.m.a. Calabria”), she has been invited to the American International Competition “G. Bachauer in Salt Lake City in 1994 and in 1998. In 2002 she had a study grant for a stage in Bayreuth.

 

She played for many associations, like the “Fondazione Teatro La Fenice” of Venice, the Association “Amici della Fenice”, the Concert Society of Milan, the Associations “Amici della Musica” of Venice, Padova, Mestre, Vicenza, the Foundation “G. Cini” of Venice and the “Società del Quartetto” of Busto Arsizio, in prestigious venues like the Theatre La Fenice of Venice, the Conservatory “G. Verdi” and the Theatre “delle Erbe” of Milan, the Opera Theatre of Sanremo, the Theatre Euclide of Rome, the Mozart Hall of Bologna, the Church “dello Spasimo” of Palermo, the Theatre Pirandello of Agrigento, the Mozarteum of Salzburg, the Dreikönigskirche of Dresden, the Festsaal of Freiberg, the “Casal del Metge” of Barcelona, the Theatre of Épinal and the Abravanel Hall of Salt Lake City.

 

She collaborated with the Quatuor of Venice and with many orchestras, including the Orchestra of the Theatre La Fenice, the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Ivrea, the Chamber Orchestra “di Padova e del Veneto”, the Orchestra “Philarmonia Italiana”, the Philarmonic Orchestra of Bacau and the Orchestra “Symphonia Veneziana”. Several among her recordings have been broadcasted by RAI, by Salt Lake City Radio and Tokyo NHK Radio. She recorded for the label Aliamusica (2005).

 

Professor of Piano at the Musical Institute of Reggio Emilia, she is active as music critic too, for the daily “Il Gazzettino” of Venice. She is taking the Degree in Composition at the Conservatory of Venice. A cycle of Lieder that she composed on texts by Emily Dickinson (“Auroral light”) has been published by Ars Publica.

 

She is at last Doctor in Philosophy of the Ca’ Foscari Venetian University. in 2005 she took also the Research Doctorate in Pedagogy and Science of the Education at the University of Padova. Since 2001 she is teacher of History of the Pédagogy at the “Accademia di Belle Arti” of Venice. She wrote two monograph essays, “Il gioco delle facoltà in F. Schiller” (2002) and “L’archetipo e le sue metamorfosi. La Bildung nei romanzi di Goethe” (2005), edited by Il Poligrafo.
