Questi tre brevi brani possono essere posti in relazione a quella tradizione novecentesca di forme che si richiamano al valzer, ma ne costituiscono una voluta distorsione, o metamorfosi, o trasfigurazione. Essi sono percorsi come da fremiti di ritmi di valzer, dissimulati in un intreccio onirico di sovrapposizioni metriche e dissolvenze timbriche, da cui emergono, come velate e frammentarie reminiscenze, allusioni a Chopin, Berlioz, Schönberg e in particolare Ravel. Essi possono essere eseguiti per pianoforte solo, per pianoforte a 4 mani e per 2 pianoforti.

These three short pieces can be related to the 20th-century tradition of musical forms that refer to the waltz, but as distorting, transforming or transfiguring images of this dance. They are based on an oneiric weaving of waltz-rhythms, that with its metrical overlappings and timbre fadings conceals some veiled and fragmented quotations of Chopin, Berlioz, Schönberg and especially Ravel. They can be played for piano solo, piano 4 hands or two pianos.
