Fabio Grasso and Letizia Michielon present some SPECIAL SHARED THEMATIC PIANO RECITALS

of new music, romantic music, mixed repertoire, including their own compositions.

For example, they played worldwide and are recording a LIGETI PROGRAMME with the COMPLETE ETUDES

The following programmes can be modified, according to the periods of the performances.

All programmes, in case of presentation in educational contexts, can be accompanied by analytical lectures and theoretical/practical masterclasses, of various duration.

 

 

1. NEW: Aesthetics of the multiplicity, hommages to Stéphane Mallarmé and Emilio Vedova. The multiple routes in the creative processes and their different results, from various types of alea to the controlled diversification of the performance ways.

First part: Fabio Grasso, piano

Historical 20th century: Karlheinz Stockhausen – Klavierstück XI; John Cage – Solo for piano;

Contemporary authors: Louis Karchin – Three Epigrams (with an homage to E. Vedova): other contemporary works are possible, according to the specific occasions.

Second part: Letizia Michielon, piano

Martin Lichtfuss – …geworfen…; Pierre Boulez – 3ème Sonate (Trope, Constellation Miroir)

Third part: 4 hands

Fabio Grasso – Berliner Diptychon, hommage à E. Vedova

Letizia Michielon – Oltre / Sudario / Ausstrahlung, hommage à E. Vedova (with electronics)

The concert can be accompanied by a lecture and/or an image projection.

 

 

2. NEW: AUSTRIAN traditions, with focus on composers from TIROL and VIENNA areas.

Music by Unterhofer, Kerschbaumer,  Demetz, Schlee, Lichtfuss, Hauer, Webern, Schoenberg, Schubert and Mozart

played by Fabio Grasso and Letizia Michielon. Music for piano 4 hands composed by the interpreters, related to the themes.

7. THE LIGETI PROJECT, consisting in the performance of complete Etudes for 2 and 4 hands, plus 2 Etudes written by the interpreters, often with related masterclasses and lectures, was presented worldwide between 2007 and 2010.  The Ligeti – Chopin Project (complete Etudes of both composers) is being recorded.
